Kane County Animal Control offers a FREE animal education program for elementary students of Kane County schools, cub/girl scouts, and community groups. We teach children the basic do's and don’ts of pet care and safety. This program is designed to heighten children's understanding of care and safety regarding animals, both domestic and wild.
An Animal Control Warden will come to your school or community center and introduce the children to various animal safety issues. He or she will discuss issues such as bite prevention, importance of rabies vaccinations and the leash law. In addition, we can discuss seasonal topics such as urban wildlife, pet owner responsibilities and the humane care and treatment of animals.
If you are interested in having an Animal Control Warden coming to speak to the children of your school, call our office at 630-232-3555 to set up an appointment. You may call during
our normal business hours of Monday though Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm.
The foundation of having a safe and happy relationship between pets and people starts with humane education. We look forward to hearing from you.
